Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the UK Government Line of Business for financial business partnering.
  • Assume financial accountability for both internal and external contract financial reporting.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer financial inquiries and support annual contract audits.
  • Exercise financial delegation for contract modeling and oversee financial change control for contract modifications.
  • Work alongside Project Managers to prepare project sales trading plans.
  • Execute journal postings to SAP, enhancing project accuracy, and collaborate with project teams.
  • Support the financial forecasting process for orders, sales, revenue, margin, cash, and WIP, conducting risk and opportunity analysis against forecasts.
  • Contribute to the generation of Monthly and Quarterly divisional reports adhering to Group Accounting Policies.
  • Analyze and present performance dashboards for review at senior management levels.
  • Act as a delegate for the Financial Controller in meetings as required.
  • Fulfill ad hoc duties as directed by the Financial Controller.

Experience Needed:

  • Preferably a Qualified Accountant
  • Strong background in project accounting/long-term contract experience is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in SAP with systems knowledge considered advantageous
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen with an ability to mitigate commercial/financial risks
  • Proven ability to drive a robust financial strategy supporting integrated business plans
  • Career experience collaborating with senior management teams, preferably within a matrix organization

Please note will need to attend Bristol office 3 times per month.
