Cost and Commercial Senior Consultant / Manager

A leading Infrastructure Consulting firm is looking for candidates with a Quantity Surveying, Cost and Commercial background to join their Consulting / Advisory team. They are hiring at AQS, QS and SQS equivalent levels.

The business has won multiple awards for best in class across a range of industries and services and is recognised as a leader in their field. They offer a suite of services to businesses across infrastructure, consulting across construction and engineering, digital, sustainability, and project & programme management. The business provides candidates the opportunity to work on some of the most complex and forward thinking infrastructure projects in the market, which really make a difference to communities and businesses.

The candidates coming in will be responsible for delivering the full range of Cost Management services with a focus on providing high quality advice at the concept and feasibility stages of major projects prior to procurement and contract award. You will also provide commercial support and whole life cost expertise for a variety of commercial, procurement and sustainability commissions. Specific responsibilities include the below:

• Feasibility stage cost estimation for major projects
• Risk analysis reporting and management.
• Value Management and Engineering.
• Procurement strategy and contract advice.
• Tendering and procurement knowledge.
• Contract preparation and management.
• Post contract commercial control and delivery.
• Whole Life Cost Analysis.
• Liaise with decision makers across a wide variety of clients, working at key players in the infrastructure space.

The role will give candidates the opportunity to work across businesses in Construction, Engineering, Rail, Transport, Utilities and Energy.

This role is hybrid with time in office, client site and home. The team is based in several offices across the North including; Manchester, York, Sheffield, Leeds, Liverpool.

Salary is also negotiable, based on experience and performance through the process.
