Senior Quantity Surveyor

(Groundworks)

Reed Recruitment (Southampton branch) are looking to recruit a senior quantity surveyor that has experience with groundworks, drainage, roads and civil engineering. The company is a well established civil engineering firm.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Point of Contact for all Commercial queries, concerns, or actions on a project

• Ensure the company complies fully with its contractual responsibilities.

• Preparation, submission, and agreement of contract tenders, seeing project from inception to completion.

• Preparation, submission, and agreement of monthly applications for payment

• Preparation, submission and agreement of project variations, claims, and design changes

• Preparation of project forecasts and cost plans

• Agree and process subcontractor payments.

• Comply with company and departmental procedures and deadlines.

• Prepare and submit accurate reports that analyse and demonstrate the profitability and commercial progress of a project.

• Work in collaboration with procurement and site management teams.


Essential Competence and Training:

• Can demonstrate 5 years + in Quantity Surveying of UK residential groundworks projects.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• Advanced in Microsoft Excel and Word

• Working Knowledge of Bluebeam or similar construction software system
