Senior Solicitor - Clinical Negligence

2-5 PQE

Edinburgh

Our client, a renowned Scottish law firm, is looking for a Senior Solicitor to join their Clinical Defence team in Edinburgh.

You will join a busy team and your core responsibilities will include defending clinicians in medical negligence claims raised in the Court of Session, sheriff courts and ASPIC.

You will run research, draft pleadings and participate in business development. You will also support more junior colleagues when required.

Skills and Experience

  • Solicitor qualified in Scotland with at least 2 years of clinical negligence experience

  • Experience of Sheriff Court and Court of Session procedures

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Advocacy skills are highly desirable but not essential
