Site Engineer

Our client a leading Building and Civil engineering company are current looking for a Site Engineer to join their team based in Hemel Hempstead. They provide building and Civil engineering services to the private and public sectors in greater London. They specialise in groundworks. They are currently working on some exciting project, the Site Engineer will be working on a residential scheme with extensive groundworks.

The successful Site Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the setting out is accurate, providing precise lines, levels and reference points on site. The Site Engineer will also be providing the interpretation and clear communication of construction drawings on site they will also be reporting to the Contracts Manager and will play a key role within the team.

Site Engineer Position Overview

• Provide the interpretation and clear communication of construction drawings.
• Report to the Contracts Manager
• Interpretation and providing clear communication of construction drawings on site for layouts, material measurements etc
• Ensuring that the setting out is accurate, providing precise lines, levels and reference points on site.
• Effectively influencing the progress on sites and ensuring programme deadlines are met
• Developing effective relationships and dealing with clients and subcontractors.
• Working closely with all other team members to ensure that the Quality, Environmental and
• Work closely with the rest of the team to ensure H&S aspects are kept to on site
• Maintain IMS requirements
• Undertake any other duties as allocated

Site Engineer Position Requirements

• HND / Degree in Construction/Civil Engineering
• 3 years experience in similar role.
• Experience within the residential sector
• Extensive groundworks knowledge
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Valid relevant site cards
• Show initiative and accountability for a project from start to finish
