Description

We're looking for a Store Distribution Operative to join the team in Waterlooville.

Our Store Distribution Operatives play a key role in the day to day operations of our flooring offering. Working with the supplier delivery teams, fitting partners, store staff and making contact with our customers to arrange installations they are in important part of our store teams in the day to day running of a mini distribution centre.



What does the role involve?
  • Receiving inbound orders accurately from our furniture and flooring suppliers
  • Making outbound contact with customers to arrange installation of our flooring orders 
  • Maintaining accurate stock levels, ensuring all stock checks and audits are completed on time to the required standard
  •  Establishing a good relationship with our fitting partners and other departments within the organisation     
  •  Assisting with the day to day handling of products within the showrooms and prepare customer’s orders for delivery
  •  Maintain an adequately stocked, clean and tidy Mini DC
  • Ensuring we have a quick turnaround of inbound vs outbound goods making the required calls to secure bookings with our customer
  • Prepare outbound deliveries ready for collection from our fitting partners and Distribution teams 
  •  Maintaining accurate stock levels within the mini dc
  • Remain compliant to internal audit processes and health and safety practices

While experience within a similar role can sometimes be an advantage, it’s not a game-changer – personality and the ability to learn new skills is just as important!

We’re looking for the following qualities

  • Comfortable using basic systems and delivery software
  • Able to undertake manual handling tasks
  • Good communication skills with the confidence to call customers, lease departments within our customer support centre and fitting partners
  • Proactive thinker ability to work under own initiative
