Purpose of the role:

In support of significant business growth and reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will work with our clients partnerships team and be responsible for co-ordination of Supply Chain and Procurement activities to ensure the successful mobilisation and execution of this technology transfer to their partners.

As a Supply Chain Partner, you will work closely with business stakeholders and externally with partners (both in the supply chain and with licensees) to manage, support and balance supply chain activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the supply chain activity associated with the delivery of new and existing partnerships through cross functional negotiations, relationship management, and analytical insights.
  • Understanding Partners' and client needs and operating to an agreed framework on collaborative projects to drive improvements or sourcing activities. This may include supplier sourcing, selection, negotiation, and management to achieve quality, cost, schedule, and relationship requirements. This will include working on cost down initiatives to achieve targets.
  • Tracking and reporting of the sourcing plans including Direct Materials, Non-Direct Materials, Capital Equipment, Consumables and Tooling. This includes working with and understanding the Bill of Materials (BoM)
  • Ensure they are represented in all key supplier meetings.
  • Ensure the correct handling (creation, capture and protection) of intellectual property for the project activities, by working with Legal/IP with respect to supply chain innovation. Maximise value extracted from the supply chain for the benefit of their Licensee model.
  • Ensure that there is consistent and effective reporting of key Supply Chain metrics and milestones, to ensure that project KPIs are achieved.
  • Implementing contracting standards and reviewing joint sign off & CCNs

Deliverables

  • Track the development of Supply Chain activities across Collaboration Manufacturing Licence agreements, and report deviations from the plan and issues arising.
  • Positive engagement with Licensee, Commercial and Project Management ensuring their Supply Chain requirements are considered in decisions and planning.
  • Attendance at relevant internal and joint partner meetings as required and agreed with relevant stakeholders.

Knowledge and skills required for the role:

  • Confident with excellent presentation skills and written skills English.
  • Strong experience of cross-functional engagement
  • Experience in developing and monitoring procedures.
  • Strong experience of reporting including but not limited to Excel, Power Bi, PPT
  • Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings, Bill of Material reports, and Supply Chain manufacturing processes
  • Ideally, degree qualified from an engineering, manufacturing, or commercial discipline with additional experience in supply chain management.
  • Experience in dealing with customers and suppliers.
  • A strong communicator with the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders to influence cross-functional working.
  • Comfortable working in a team, under their own initiative, and on a range of projects at the same time
