Systems Engineer

My client is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join their team in Welshpool. The Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring that products and solutions meet the specific requirements of customers and stakeholders. This role involves employing Systems Engineering methodologies to drive complex system development from customer needs identification through to deployment of validated solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop system specifications, acceptance plans, test plans, and qualification documents.
  • Utilise Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools to create system models.
  • Introduce and implement new best practices and processes within the company.
  • Manage system development tasks including design, integration, testing, and production transitions.
  • Conduct rigorous verification and validation of systems, both functional and non-functional.
  • Prepare compliance matrices and reports to ensure verification and validation requirements are met.
  • Generate and maintain technical documentation for programmes and projects.
  • Document and manage system configurations.
  • Provide support for user trials and installations.
  • Assist in the development of technical proposals to support business development activities.
  • Offer technical guidance and support to Project Managers and cross-functional teams.

Key Competencies:

  • Excellent command of the English language, particularly in technical contexts.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to contribute effectively as part of a team and provide leadership when required.
  • Capable of working independently to achieve results within set timeframes.
  • Skilled in system architecture, analysis, problem-solving, and resolution strategies.
  • Proficient in preparing and delivering technical information both in writing and verbally.
  • Computer literate, especially in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experienced in Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) methods; familiarity with Sparx Enterprise Architect preferred.
  • Background in modelling architectural solutions for electronic information technology and security methods is advantageous.
