Accelerate Teaching, an esteemed educational agency dedicated to fostering excellence in teaching and learning, is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant at a vibrant Secondary School in Leeds. We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to support our students in their academic journey, starting in September 2024.

This role presents a unique chance to make a profound impact on the lives of young learners and contribute to their educational development. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced educators to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment where every student can thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing one-on-one support to students, assisting with classwork and homework assignments.
  • Collaborating with teachers to plan and implement engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Promoting positive behaviour and fostering a supportive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
  • Utilising innovative teaching strategies and resources to enhance the learning experience for all students.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks and maintaining accurate records of student progress.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting the academic and personal development of students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Adaptability and resilience in the face of challenges, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
