We are seeking empathetic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a team in a Specialist setting catering to children and young people with a diverse range of Specialist Educational Needs. Candidates must have a profound understanding of supporting individuals with profound medical needs, sensory needs, and emotional and mental health needs.

Qualifications or Certificates:

• A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is required.
• Additional training or certification in areas such as Makaton, Team-Teach, or Manual Handling is highly desirable.

Experience:

• Previous experience working with individuals with complex educational needs in a school or care setting is essential.
• Experience in implementing individualised education plans and providing enhanced support to meet the diverse needs of students is preferred.
• Familiarity with assisting students with personal care and medical needs is advantageous.

Brief Overview of the Role:

The successful candidates will work within a Specialist setting, providing support to children and young people aged 2 to 19 with a wide range of Specialist Educational Needs, including profound medical needs, sensory needs, and emotional and mental health needs. You will have the opportunity to work in small classes and groups, ensuring each individual's educational and personal development needs are met.
