Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Technical Team: Responsible for managing and supervising the technical team
- Technical Compliance Ownership: Ensure compliance across the company
- Risk Assessment and Value: Rigorously assess risk and value, challenging technical solutions for optimal outcomes
- Robust Standards and Processes: Implement and supervise technical standards and systems
- Influence Technology Strategies: Provide expertise and influence technology decisions
- Testing and Solutions: Coordinate system testing to address faults and provide solutions
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor technical progress and report on deliverables
- Change Control and Communication: Manage scope changes and adhere to change control processes
- Health and Safety Focus: Promote safety by design, eliminate hazards, and complete safety documentation
- Risk Communication: Clearly communicate remaining risks to the Operations team and end users
- Pre-Construction Compliance: Ensure compliance with pre-construction information and design risk assessments
- Hybrid: This position will require you to sometimes travel around within the UK
Requirements and Skills:
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience in passive fireproofing, including technical details and compliance
- Independence and Judgment: Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and make decisions
- PFP Knowledge: Familiarity with PFP systems and compliance
- Regulatory Awareness: Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards
- Relationship Building: Enthusiasm for cultivating lasting client relationships
- Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to high standards and attention to detail
- Adaptability: Ability to handle changing demands in a growing company
- Project Management: Skilled in planning, prioritising, meeting deadlines, troubleshooting, and evaluating efforts
- Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills to expand the client base
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic and negotiation abilities
- Industry Awareness: Understanding of laws, regulations, and industry trends
- Desirable skills: IFE level 3, experience in delivering CPD’s on PFP, and contracting experience. Training can be provided for the right candidate
