Technical Sales Consultant - High Value Recycling Capital Machinery

Homebased covering the South UK

Package: £35,000 -£45,000 basic DOE - OTE £60K+

Company Car: A3 Audi or 1 series BMW, fuel card, Pension, health care and Life insurance, 21 days holiday, rising to 25 after 4 years’ service, Birthday Day off.

LWS Services are proud to be the chosen recruitment partner of a world-renowned manufacturer of Industrial recycling machinery. Due to company growth within the UK, there is now an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Sales Executive to join their rapidly expanding team.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Targeting waste producers within various industries such as medical, distribution, engineering, recycling, power generation etc offering Packaged systems: shredding machinery plus service plans and parts.
  • 80% new business and 20% following up leads assigned through Dynamics, researching potential customers and building a robust pipeline.
  • Make cold calls and use social media to promote the business and products and grow individual network of potential customers.
  • Attend customer sites and build strong customer relationships, discussing their requirements and finding the perfect solution to support their needs.
  • Plan and organise own diary following up business development and sales leads.
  • Achieving sales targets and working to set KPIs.
  • Arranging site visits and/or trials to fully understand customer requirements and find suitable value-adding shredding solutions.
  • Inform Installation department of required third party equipment and agree customer payment terms with the company accountant for inclusion in offers.
  • Present offers to customers, handle any objections by clarifying details, emphasising agreements, and working through differences to reach a positive conclusion.
  • Present order confirmations for customer signature and continues proactive engagement to secure receipt of purchase order and payment of deposit.
  • Focusing on selling the smaller shredder equipment within the range, the value of these could range from 50 K - 300K (shredder and ancillary equipment costings)

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Must have experience selling a value sale- selling the concept -showing how the investment can make the customer money, good quality Sales not bottom price discounts.
  • From a technical engineering sales background.
  • Ability to nurture and develop Accounts cross selling, upselling, relationship building MUST be able to also self-generate and build own pipeline as well as using generated leads.
  • You will be an outgoing target driven new business hunter.
  • Full driving licence essential.
  • Be willing to travel, with overnight stays in the UK.

  • Hours - 40 hrs per week (08.00-17.00 Mon to Thurs and 08.00 - 15.30 Fri)
