About the Client: Our client is a leading financial services firm committed to providing tailored advice and solutions to clients across the UK. They are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join their Technical Planning team in a confidential capacity as a Training and Development Manager.

Role Overview: As a Training and Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role within the organisation by spearheading the onboarding process for new advisers and ensuring their seamless integration into the team. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive training, support, and guidance on the regulated advice process, as well as assessing and reporting on adviser competency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting training and onboarding sessions for new advisers, equipping them with the knowledge and skills required to excel in their roles.
  • Providing insightful guidance and support on the regulated advice process, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Assisting in the development and delivery of formal adviser introduction courses to facilitate smooth transitions for new team members.
  • Evaluating adviser competency through thorough assessment methods and preparing detailed reports for management review.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to continuously enhance training programs and materials to reflect industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Serving as a point of contact for advisers, offering technical support and expertise to address queries and resolve issues effectively.

Requirements:

  • Ideally holding Level 4 in Regulated Financial Planning, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Robust understanding and knowledge of investment products, taxation, and financial services regulations.
  • Proven experience in the financial services industry, particularly within a regulated advice environment or Training & Competence background.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear technical support and training sessions to advisers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
