Transaction Reporting Business Analyst (MiFID & EMIR/SFTR)

We are looking for experienced Transaction Reporting Business Analysts to join our client's Transaction Reporting team.

One role will primarily focus on MiFID transaction reporting, while the other will concentrate on EMIR/SFTR reporting.

Both positions require meticulous attention to detail, a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor industry and regulatory changes.
  • Propose compliance solutions.
  • Understand data analysis and technical documentation.
  • Apply risk frameworks effectively.
  • Develop business requirements for regulatory changes and collaborate with Technology teams for smooth implementation.
  • Assist in risk assessments and control enhancement.
  • Coordinate large-scale projects and vendor implementations.
  • Oversee testing protocols for new business initiatives.
  • Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze business processes for regulatory compliance.
  • Design and manage oversight processes for regulatory reporting.
  • Document and address regulatory gaps.
  • Validate regulatory output through testing.
  • Contribute to regulatory oversight materials.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in business analysis.
  • Demonstrated success in problem-solving using technology and enhancing business processes.
  • Familiarity with global regulations and expertise in regulatory reporting.
  • Understanding of financial products, order lifecycles, and back-office operations, particularly within broker-dealer institutions.
  • Proactive and self-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Confident and assertive communicator, capable of effectively engaging colleagues across the organization to influence outcomes and propose solutions.
  • Motivated to drive continuous improvements in operational processes.
  • Proficient in technical tools such as business intelligence, Excel, and SQL to enhance productivity.
  • Comfortable with leveraging technology in a fast-paced, high-volume, and complex business environment.
  • Curious and always seeking to understand and challenge the status quo, staying informed about industry and regulatory changes.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Dependable and trustworthy, demonstrating high levels of personal and professional integrity.
  • Possesses strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
