Salary: £27,500-£29,500 DOE
Location: St.ives, Cambridgeshire
We are seeking a talented Transport Planner to join our clients dynamic team. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for designing and implementing transportation strategies to ensure the efficient movement of goods and materials. Your role will involve analyzing transportation data, optimising routes, coordinating shipments, and liaising with clients and transportation partners to ensure timely delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse transportation data to identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Develop and implement transportation plans to maximise efficiency and minimise costs.
- Optimize route planning to ensure timely delivery and reduce fuel consumption.
- Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and carriers to schedule shipments.
- Monitor transportation operations and address any issues or delays proactively.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Evaluate transportation performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide support and guidance to transportation staff as needed.
Requirements:
- Qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.(Preferred)
- Proven experience as a Transport Planner or similar role in the transportation industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in transportation management software and tools.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
