Travel Consultant - York Area (Hybrid, 2 days in the office)

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-driven and motivated individual, with a genuine ability and desire to sell, to take on the highly rewarding role of Travel Consultant within an impressive, large pan-European travel group.

Travel Consultant - What will I be doing?

The Sales team offer expert advice to customers, helping them to make the best holiday choice. You will also manage customer expectations, so they clearly understand what to expect at each stage of their customer journey.

Travel Consultant - What experience do I need?

  • An ability and desire to sell and enthusiasm for activity holidays
  • Highly motivated, well-organised and able to provide outstanding customer service
  • A keen eye for detail and experience of working at pace and accurately under pressure
  • Experience of working effectively within a team
  • An excellent telephone manner and great inter-personal skills
  • Travel Industry experience (desirable)

Travel Consultant - What else do I need to know?

This is a great opportunity and there will be plenty of training offered, which will allow you to perfect your sales and customer service techniques, use reservations systems effectively, and enhance your general IT skills. The core hours of work are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday with extended hours at certain times of the year. You will be expected to work some Saturdays and Sundays too on a rota basis. The offices are in a stunning remote location, so it is essential that you can drive.
