Vehicle Mechanic / Motor Vehicle Technician with excellent technical knowledge troubleshooting / diagnosing, repairing and maintaining customer vehicles is required for a well-established Garage based in Birkenhead, Wirral, Merseyside, North West England.

SALARY: £38,000 per annum

LOCATION: Birkenhead, Wirral, Merseyside, North West England

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm. Every other Saturday 9.00am to 1.30pm

PLEASE NOTE: You will need a full drivers licence and your own tools

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Vehicle Mechanic / Motor Vehicle Technician with excellent technical knowledge troubleshooting / diagnosing, repairing and maintaining customer vehicles.

Working as a Vehicle Mechanic / Motor Vehicle Technician you will not only have a passion for automotive mechanics, but also a strong desire to deliver a first-class service to customers.

As a Vehicle Mechanic / Motor Vehicle Technician you will join an established Garage that has a 6 ramp workshop, including an ATM MOT Test Bay. DUTIES

Your duties as a Vehicle Mechanic / Motor Vehicle Technician include:

  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Repair and replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, tyres, brakes, exhausts, clutches, cambelt changes, servicing and suspension systems
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential issues and provide accurate repair estimates to customers
  • Maintain detailed records of all repairs and services performed on vehicles
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and industry trends
  • MOT testing (if qualified)

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous industry experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Solid understanding of automotive systems and components
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
  • A full drivers licence and your own tools
