Vehicle Technician

Bristol (BS4)

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, plus occasional Saturdays (8am to 12:30pm) paid at an overtime rate.

Salary: basic salary between £29,000 to £35,000- depending on experience plus achievable bonus scheme!

Your role:

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Conducting routine vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to a high standard
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults
  • Completing pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure vehicles are roadworthy and meet customer expectations
  • Communicate with the Workshop Foreman if the repair diagnosis is more complex.
  • Reporting any faults identified during servicing, PDI or repairs to the Workshop Controller or Line Manager
  • Completing MOT documents accurately and in a timely manner
  • Following all health and safety procedures and guidelines
  • Ensures vehicle cleanliness is maintained during repair or maintenance work

About you:

To be considered for this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, City & Guilds or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, preferably within a dealership
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair faults on a range of vehicles
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Full driving licence
