The Lodge is our flagship reserve with over 60k visitors, a new cafe and a shop, a range of public events, and gardens managed for wildlife. It has a mixture of heaths, woods, farmland and ancient heritage, and is home to ravens, red kites, nightjars, natterjack toads and hobbys. It is also our UK headquarters, 'the home of the RSPB'. Fowlmere, near Cambridge, is a jewel of a wetland where 25k visitors enjoy flowery meadows and a chalk stream with water voles and brown trout, reedbeds with marsh harriers and water rails, and migrant wading birds.

You will be working closely with the Visitor Operations Manager, volunteers and the wider team to ensure a coherent visitor offer is delivered whilst also working with the HQ team to ensure the highest quality of RSPB visitor experience.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Tourism or leisure related qualification, ideally at HND level or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Equal Opportunities and Diversity.
  • Health & Safety in the workplace.

The ideal candidates will have strong communicating skills, proven experience at delivering events and a high standard of visitor experience - if that's you we'd love to hear from you!
