Primary: Numeracy and Literacy

Secondary: Maths, English and Science (You don’t necessarily have to teach all)

Key responsibilities:

? Creating lesson plans tailored to the student's learning style

? Assessing student progress, identifying areas for improvement and recording attainment levels using our internal reporting system

? Deliver engaging sessions to support a range of learning styles

? Drive measurable outcomes from each session to measure impact

? Work collaboratively with educational/care stakeholders ensuring student support.

? Working in accordance with the KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines.

Desired experience:

? Experienced in tutoring one to one or small groups of pupils who require additional educational or pastoral support

? Experience in taking supervision and correction constructively

? Experience working in inclusion units, special settings or alternative provisions

? Experience in working with students with SEN, children with undiagnosed SEN, disengaged young people or looked after children

Responsibilities:

? Demonstrate academic competence in the subject area(s) and build a curriculum, creating lesson plans individual to the student's learning style

? Assessing student progress, identifying areas for improvement and recording attainment levels using our internal reporting system

? Assisting students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research and other academic tasks

? Assisting students in understanding key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom

? Contribute to student's learning, growth and advancement

? Maintain a growth mindset toward student learning and teaching practice

? Work collaboratively with schools, foster carers and social workers in order to ensure the student receives tailored support

? Working in accordance with the KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines

Essential qualities:

? Inspirational, effective & flexible communications skills

? Competent IT skills, access to laptop/computer, audio and visual

? Stable broadband & internet connection

? Ability to develop meaningful relationships, encourage and motivate students.
